JEFFREY B. SMITH
Jeff has a diverse practice that includes civil litigation, insurance defense, employment law, business law, construction law and workers' compensation. He is admitted to practice in all Montana Courts, the United States District Courts for the District of Montana and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also admitted to practice in California.
Jeff is recognized in Best Lawyers in America for his litigation work.
Prior to joining the firm, Jeff practiced at one of Montana's largest law firms, Garlington, Lohn & Robinson, for 14 years.
Jeff is a fifth-generation Montanan who grew up in Lewistown, Montana, and after graduating high school ventured across the Pacific to attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science. He returned home to attend law school at the University of Montana, where he graduated in 2009.

Jeff, his wife and three daughters live in the mountains on a 20-acre hobby farm. When they're not collecting eggs or gardening in the warmer months, they can be found on the river or hiking around the beautiful trails of Western Montana. In the colder months they can be found skiing or venturing back across the Pacific to spend time on the beaches of Kaua'i.
